New working hours declared by UAE for Ramadan ……….

From July 20 or 21 Islamic fasting month Ramadan will be started. At that time Muslims abstain from food and drink from dawn to dusk.  For this reason Ministry of Emirates reduce the working hours from 48 hours to 36 hours as a result 6 hours a day. This condition for both Muslim and Non Muslims. Employers cannot force   workers to work extra hours.  But if any employee chooses to work overtime he has to be paid 25 per cent of his basic salary per day for day time and 50 per cent for night time duty.
